Nigerian Troops Discovered Large Pit Used By Boko Haram To Dump Bodies Of Victims
Troops of the Nigerian Army on Thursday stormed the general area of Bogoro, Duguno 1, Duguno 2 and 3, where they discovered a ‘large’ pit in Jadda, said to have been used for the dumping of bodies of people killed by the terror group, Boko Haram.
Announcing this on Friday in a statement, the acting Director of Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, said the troops from 7 Division Strike Group Team B, attached to 22 Brigade, discovered the pit on Thursday after dislodging Boko Haram fighters in Jadda, which is said to be a stronghold of the terror group.

The statement also disclosed that the bodies were usually left in the pit to decompose.
The statement continued: “It was also discovered that Boko Haram held a lot of people hostage in Jadda.
“The fighting patrol team also succeeded in freeing the hostages and recovered an AK-47 rifle with registration number OF-4814, 30 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, 12 rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) ammunition, 14 Dane Guns, 1 motorcycle, 2 Solar panels and food storage facility.”
“Other items include 120 litres of AGO and packs of Panadol.
“Sadly, one of our soldiers suffered gunshot wound and was evacuated for further medical treatment. He is in stable condition and responding to treatment.
