Nigerian woman claims that power went out and the backup generator failed to come on just as President Tinubu arrived her mum’s church for his birthday thanksgiving

A social media post alleging that Bola Ahmed Tinubu experienced a power outage during a church visit to mark his 74th birthday has begun circulating online, drawing mixed reactions.

The post, shared by a user identified as Deelulu (@yappadoodledee), claimed that electricity was cut off shortly after the president entered the church, describing the situation as “a disgrace” and adding that he was “still there right now.”

Accompanying screenshots included what appeared to be a church programme titled Order of Birthday Service: Intercession for His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, alongside chat messages alleging that “as soon as he got on no light” and that those present remained inside without electricity.

However, the claims have not been independently verified, and there has been no official confirmation from government representatives or the church involved.
