Nigerian woman fumes after domestic abuse victim she rescued told police “she loves her husband more than her parents”

A Nigerian lady, Salome Danjuma, has been left fuming after a domestic abuse victim told the police that she loves her husband more than her parents.

The humanitarian, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, said she rescued the woman and took her to the hospital after she was beaten by her husband in Abuja.

Upon recovery, the man was taken to the police station to be detained for further investigation but to their shock, his wife said they should be left alone, claiming she loves him more than her parents.

“What seems to be the issue with some of our Kaduna girls? You come to Abuja to work, but then you end up getting married in Abuja. This man beat our sister, and we had to take her to the hospital,” she wrote.

“After she recovered, we took the man to the police station. However, the police asked her if her husband had paid her bride price, and she replied no. The police then asked why would the man want to k!ll her. Surprisingly, the girl said we should leave them alone because she loves him more than her parents.

“If I Salome save this girl life again may I die.

“If the do you ne, Walahi some of us from Kaduna we still get sense, Useless idiot.

“You think say you can disgrace us I swear I will disgrace you first, see how plenty people dey insult us anyhow Kaduna ladies we no get sense.”
