Romelu Lukaku’s agent Federico Pastorello has caused a huge stir by claiming that his client is currently the best striker in world football.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United forward has already scored six goals in the opening five games in all competitions.

“His move to Italy was the right decision, the best choice,” Pastorello told Sky Sports UK. “Inter are a big family and the fans are completely crazy about him. Romelu is a modern player and a sensitive person.

“He needs the feel the love, when he feels the affection of everyone he really becomes the best that the market can offer and of course Inter want to keep hold of him.

“In terms of quality, attitude and mentality, he is currently the best striker in the world.”

Inter lost the Milan derby last weekend which left them in seventh position with just seven points after eight Serie A matches.
