Non-Fulanis Behind Kidnappings, Killings – Miyetti Allah

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), have accused non-Fulanis of being responsible for the killings and kidnappings that have been recorded in many parts of the country.

The South-East Chairman of MACBAN, Siddiki Gidado, made this known in an interview with newsmen in Awka, Anambra state yesterday, Wednesday 7th. Stressing that there might be few bad eggs among the Fulani, Gidado argued that most of the kidnappings and killings could be attributed to other cattle rearers which include the Shua Arabs, Kanuri, Igbo, Tiv and Jukun.

According to Gidado, these tribes normally dress like Fulani and are known to commit such offences.

“In every tribe, you have bad eggs and when some evil acts are carried out, the entire tribe is made to take the blame. Most killings are attributed to Fulani when they are not the culprits,” Gidado said.
