NSCDC Shuts Down Illegal Mining Site In Nasarawa, Arrest Operators

Nigeria’s Civil Defence Corps Cracks Down on Illegal Mining, SECURITYNEWSNG.COM reports.

In a bold operation, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has shut down an illicit mining site in Nasarawa State. Led by Commander ACC Attah John Onoja, the successful raid follows previous arrests of foreign nationals and locals involved in illegal mining.

Commander Onoja stressed the urgency of combating illegal mining, citing its devastating impact on Nigeria’s economy and national security. He vowed to continue dismantling such operations, which he described as economic sabotage threatening the nation’s prosperity and GDP growth.

These efforts demonstrate the government’s commitment to combating illegal mining and promoting a secure and prosperous mining industry in Nigeria.
