Simy Nwankwo ready for the 2020-21 Serie A opener against Genoa after scoring twice to help Crotone destroy Vibonese 6-1 in their pre-season friendly.

The 28-year-old forgotten Super Eagles striker and Kargbo impressed with a brace each, while Messias and Riviere also on target.

Nwankwo emerged top-scorer in the Serie B last season after banging 20 goals from 36 games for Crotone.

Crotone join Benevento, Spezia back to Serie A for the upcoming campaign.

Nwankwo, who had only made five appearances for Super Eagles including, Nigeria in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Russia, coming in on a rescue mission against Argentina as Genort Rohr’s side failed to advance to knock out stage.
