As a follow up to Governor Sanwo-Olu’s directive and pronouncement on zero tolerance to improper waste disposal, the Enforcement team of LAWMA, on Sunday 27th of October apprehended the parents of the children who emptied bags of waste into the drainage channel in front of their house during a heavy downpour in the course of the week in Aboru area of Lagos State.

According to a statement released by the state government the parents of these children would be prosecuted according to the law because this attitude and several others that have gone unnoticed are contributory factors to flooding issue being experienced in some quarters across the State.

The arrest of these individuals followed a video that revealed this misdemeanor on the social media during the week.
