Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba made a phone call to Juventus in a bid to secure his exit, according to reports.
Pogba quit Old Trafford for Juventus back in 2012 and, during his four years in Italy, helped the club win four Scudettos in succession.
He then returned to Manchester United in the summer of 2016 for a then world-record fee of £89million but, nearly three years on, rumours of a move to Turin are refusing to go.
The Frenchman struggled for form earlier this season under Jose Mourinho.
MySportDab reports Pogba had a difficult relationship with the former United manager, with Mourinho appearing to loath the player’s life outside of football.
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, however, he has been resurgent.
And According to Italian Newspaper TuttoSport, despite Mourinho’s exit, the United star is still eager to leave Old Trafford behind.
It is claimed he made a phone call to Juventus in January admitting that he is eager to return.
However, Juventus ultimately opted against pursuing their former midfielder.
TuttoSport claim, though, that the Serie A giants could use Douglas Costa as a bargaining tool in any potential negotiations.
