Police Arrest Man Who Abducted And Killed His Brother Despite Collecting N120,000 Ransom

A man identifed as Ismail Mohammed  has been arrested by the Kaduna State Police Command for abducting and killing his brother after collecting N120,000 as ransom from their family. 

The suspect was paraded at the command headquarters on Thursday, June 29, 2023, alongside five hundred and two suspects arrested for various offences ranging from banditry, armed cattle rustling, culpable homicide, vandalization of rail tracks, and other related crimes.

Briefing newsmen, spokesperson of the command, DSP Muhammed Jalige said that Ismail, of Maijere Village Saminaka in the Lere local government area of the state kidnapped his brother, Kabiru Mohammed and demanded ransom from their family.

After he collected the N120, 000 ransom, he killed Kabiru.
