An Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Area K Command, Lagos state, has died, swimming in a pool at a Lagos hotel.

Osung Ekpo died in the swimming pool where he had gone to celebrate valentine with some of his friends.
His corpse has since been deposited at the morgue.

Ekpo is known for leading policemen to reclaim Police land at Morogbo area of Badagry that was sold to unsuspecting members of the public by some land grabbers.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Superintendent of Police (SP), Dolapo Opeyemi Badmus who confirmed the death via text message said to Daily Trust said: “We lost him to the cold hands of death while he was swimming in a pool yesterday night.

The command is mourning this indefatigable officer. May his gallant soul rest in perfect peace”
