A tricycle with reg. no ASB 144 WZ containing one (1) locally made cut-to-size single barrel gun, one (1) battle axe one (1) techno phone and twenty wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp and other hard drugs have been intercepted by police operatives in Asaba.

The recovery was made possible following intensive raiding of black spots and criminal hideouts in the state

A Police team on patrol behind NTA Asaba, saw a tricycle rider with two occupants on sighting them jumped down and escaped into the bush abandoning the tricycle.

The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali disclosed this in a statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.

He said, “Effort is ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects.”
