A 25-yr-antique suspected human trafficker, Comfort Anwana, was arrested on Tuesday, at a suspected human trafficking transit camp in the Ejigbo and six children were rescued.

According to Punchng, her siblings, Gift, 28; and 23-year-vintage Blessing, who stayed along with her, were also apprehended. They all hail from the Oron LGA, Akwa Ibom State. .

The police crew stormed the only-room apartment camp following a document from a few residents of the place that Anwana illegally took custody of the children. The state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, who led the operation, noted that the camp became no longer an orphanage. .

He stated how Anwana passed off the youngsters was shrouded in mystery, including that the command would perform an research to get to the bottom of the actual activities of the centre. .

However, Anwana, said the kids had been her nephews and nieces, adding that their fathers were dead. She stated she helped their moms to appearance after them, including that the parents visited them every now and then. .

A police officer said while the kids have been interviewed, they could not point out their surnames, adding that some of them couldn’t point out their mothers’ names.
