Porsha Williams’ ex-husband Simon Guobadia moves to cancel her Nigerian residency permit

Businessman Simon Guobadia has asked a Nigerian court to withdraw his sponsorship of former wife and reality star Porsha Williams’ residency permit in the country.

According to an affidavit filed at the High Court of Justice in Kaduna State, Simon explained that he had sponsored Porsha’s application for a Nigerian Resident Permit during their marriage — but now that they’re divorced, he wants it revoked.

Speaking to TMZ, Simon said he was informed by Nigerian authorities that Porsha traveled to Lagos in December 2024 using the same document issued while they were still married. He added that since their divorce, he had a duty to end the sponsorship.

He also expressed disappointment that Porsha returned to Nigeria last December for the festive season, saying she will not be welcomed back this year.

Meanwhile, Porsha says she’s already receiving offers for a Nigerian passport and new sponsorships.
