Portable Prays In Church Amid Fear Of Police Arrest (Photos, Video)

Recently, officers from the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA) began inspecting developments in the Ibogun and Otta areas to check for proper planning permits and issue notices for illegal structures.

During the operation, the agents were working near Portable’s bar when he recorded a video mocking the officials. He boldly referred to himself as the “town planner” and encouraged his customers to do the same. Confronting the agents, he insisted that no one could plan a town where he lived. His aggressive stance eventually forced the officials to leave for their safety.

Days later, when the agents returned to Portable’s bar, they met his father and explained their mission. They issued a notice for illegal structures and informed him that there was a period within which the family could contest the notice if they had valid documents. His father assured them that Portable was not around but promised to show him the notice upon his return.

However, as the agents were posting the notices, Portable arrived on a motorcycle with a group of supporters. They immediately attacked the government officials. As the agents tried to flee, Portable ordered motorcycle riders to block their path and assault them. He personally slapped and physically attacked the officers.

The agents managed to escape into their vehicle, but Portable gave chase on a motorcycle, attempting to cut off their exit. The officials eventually sought refuge in a petrol station, where bystanders shielded them while they contacted their office. The authorities alerted the police, who quickly arrived and rescued the agents.

According to eyewitnesses, the agents were pelted with stones and beaten by Portable and his gang even as they hid in the petrol station. Following the attack, the police arrested several individuals suspected of involvement and impounded their vehicles.

Portable has a history of clashing with government officials. In 2023, he was arrested and arraigned by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly assaulting police officers.

Currently, Portable is reportedly in hiding, with strong rumors suggesting that he will be arrested and prosecuted once he resurfaces. However, a trending video shows him in a church, dressed in a long white garment, lying on the floor in prayer.
