Portable’s uncle exposes family member, Akeem as ‘troublemaker’ behind singer’s bad behavior

The maternal uncle of popular Nigerian singer Portable has warned Nigerians to be wary of a family member, Akeem, whom he claims is spiritually responsible for the singer’s bad behavior.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man, who identified himself as Portable’s mother’s brother, alleged that Akeem is a troublesome figure within the family and the root cause of recent issues.

According to him, Portable has always fulfilled his responsibilities, taking care of the family and providing financial support.

However, he accused Akeem of trying to destroy the family despite Portable’s generosity.

He stated: “I am Portable’s mother’s brother. Akeem is a bad person. Don’t listen to him—he’s a very bad person. Everyone should stay away from him.”

“If Portable wasn’t a star, wouldn’t you find a way to fend for yourself? The motorcycle you’re riding—Portable bought it for you. Hasn’t he done enough? Why are you after him?”

“What else do you want from Portable? Do you want to farm him? If you go to him, he helps and gives you money. What more do you want?”

“Nigerians, please don’t listen to Akeem. He’s a bad child. Portable gives to the family monthly. I was even asked to give him ₦200,000 last month, but because of his bad deeds, I withheld it.”

His statement comes barely 24 hours after another family member publicly accused Akeem of being the spiritual cause of Portable’s controversial behavior.

She pleaded with Nigerians to forgive the singer, insisting that Akeem was influencing his actions.
