Manchester United midfielder, Christian Eriksen has sent a warm message to the club’s fans after their pre-season friendly 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

Manchester United fans had a chance to see new signing Eriksen, who joined the club from Brentford this summer, don the famous red and white kit during their pre-season match against Atletico Madrid.

The Denmark international was warmly received by fans at the stadium, and he took to Instagram to thank them for their support, saying:

“This looks good and feels good! Wonderful reception from the fans here in Norway! Happy to have played my first minutes at Manchester United.”

Eriksen came on in the second half and played just 21 minutes for Man United against Atletico Madrid.

The former Inter Milan and Tottenham star showcased his capacity as a creative outlet for the team.

But Joao Felix’s late goal gave Atletico Madrid the victory over Erik ten Hag’s side.
