American rapper, T.I’s stepdaughter Zonnique Pullins is pregnant.

Zonnique, who is the rapper’s wife, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle’s daughter, is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, rapper Bandhunta Izzy.

The 24-year-old shared the happy news with People on Tuesday August 4, and revealed that she is currently five months along. 

Addressing pregnancy rumors in the past, Pullins says: “Literally every year, probably for the past three years, this same rumor [that I was pregnant] had come out. This time I actually am pregnant. It’s weird!”

According to the proud mom-to-be, her pregnancy has been “really easy” so far.

“With it being my first time being pregnant, I had so many expectations and was thinking, ‘Oh, it’s going to be really hard,’ ” she says. “I never really had morning sickness.”

Zonnique also opened up on being unsure if she wanted to be a mother when she first found out she was pregnant,

“I have a million brothers and sisters so I’ve always been the one like, ‘I’m not having a baby anytime soon,’ ” she tells PEOPLE. “That was always my thing. So I was kind of sad at first, and my boyfriend was really excited from the jump. He was like, ‘You know it’s whatever you want to do.’ “

“I was calling my cousin, and they were laughing at me because they already knew that I didn’t want to have a baby anytime soon,” she continues. “I was like, ‘Why are you guys laughing?’ And I’m just crying and stuff.”

Pullins adds, “But after a while, I’m like, ‘Now I feel like I can do this. It’s something that will mature me and change me in a great way.’ I’m trying to wrap my head around it, and now we are here.”

Pullins will tell her stepfather T.I. about her pregnancy for the first time on the premiere episode of her new millennial talk show The Mix, which will air live Tuesday night. She will also reveal the sex of her baby during the premiere episode. 

“I felt like it may be a little funny to get his reaction,” Pullins says. “He can’t get mad or anything. Even my real dad [Zonnie Pullins], I just told him last week, to be honest. You’re always your dad’s little princess. So, I just wasn’t sure how he’d feel.”

Zonnique’s partner Bandhunta Izzy is already father to two children from a previous relationship.
