With football on a hiatus, Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has used his time off to reflect on the success of his trophy-laden career to date by trying to get a ‘decent’ picture with his silverware.
The striker, who has bagged 64 goals in 201 appearances for the Old Trafford side at the age of 22, shared a photo of his trophy cabinet, containing winners’ medals, England caps and individual awards.
Rashford will no doubt be chomping at the bit to add to his collection when football returns post the coronavirus pandemic.
The young United forward has already accumulated an eye-boggling number of medals for his age, with his cabinet showcasing everything from his U21 Premier League medal, to his Europa League and FA Cup medals.
One of the first pieces of silverware to front up Rashford’s under stairs cabinet is his FA Cup medal.
In 2016 Rashford got his hands on the FA Cup at Wembley after Manchester United clawed their way back into the game, coming from behind and surviving Chris Smalling’s sending-off to beat Crystal Palace.
Rashford’s 2017 Europa League medal is next on the list and can be seen third in from the left.
United’s 2017 Europa League win was Rashford’s second major trophy of the season and saw the team secure Champions League football as the Red Devils overcame Ajax to win in the final.
Rashford became the youngest Englishman at just 19 to start a major European final since Gary Mills in May 1980 for Nottingham Forest, who was 18.
Rashford’s 2017 League Cup medal is holding a prime position in the cabinet, placed first in line.
Rashford came off the bench to replace Jesse Lingard in United’s 3-2 win over Southampton in the League Cup final.
The United ace has consistently remained at the top of his game since emerging from the club’s famed youth ranks and has picked up a number of individual awards along the way.
Rashford’s first senior individual honours came in 2016 when the attacker was just 18 and can be seen on the top shelf of his trophy cabinet.
He may have only played 170 minutes during February 2016, but it was enough to earn him Manchester United’s player of the month award.
The youngster was fast-tracked into the first-team squad after injuries to Wayne Rooney, and then Anthony Martial left Louis van Gaal short of options.
He scored four goals in his first two appearances for the club as he made an instant impression at Old Trafford.
His goal return has improved steadily over the years, but during that first season under Louis van Gaal, he scored eight times despite only making his debut in February.
Rashford went on to win a series of individual awards – seen on the same self – being named Manchester United’s club player of the month several more times in 2019.
Game of Thrones star John Bradley, who is a huge United supporter, even went down to their Carrington training ground to pass over the spear like trophy for his hard work in January 2019.
Although not seen in the his trophy cabinet, Rashford also won the Premier League player of the month award for his superb performances in January last year.
Speaking at the time, Rasgford said: ‘It’s always good to pick up individual awards, but I think the way we’ve performed as a team has been very good over the last few weeks.’
If that wasn’t enough for one year, Rashford was later awarded the standout green man of the match trophy on the bottom shelf while playing against Chelsea in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on October 30.
The striker scored the first himself, slotting home from the penalty spot in the first half before putting in the winner in the closing stages to earn United a place in the last eight of the cup.
Before finishing 2019 off by picking up the PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Premier League player of the month for December, seen to the left of his head in his Instagram post.
Voted for by supporters, the 22-year-old claimed 37 per cent of the nominations, placing him well clear of Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane, who came second and third respectively.
Rashford has shown off his England caps, seen on the right hand-side of his Instagram post. While also, sharing his individual achievements for the Three Lions youth team.
During a spell with the England Under 21s, Rashford was presented with a man of the match award and the match ball. Both can be seen in his cabinet.
At 18, Rashford led the young side from the front to their 6-1 defeat of Norway at home, scoring three of the goals himself.
After working his way through the youth levels with England and United, Rashford earned his first senior England call up in May 2016.
Since then Rashford has become a crucial part of manager Gareth Southgate’s plans and has earned 38 caps for England (pictured to the right of Rashford in his Instagram).
