Real Madrid has offered Colombian attacker James Rodriguez to Manchester United as the La Liga giants aimed to carry out major clearance this season.

Real Madrid previously valued Rodriguez for £100 million but the Santiago Bernabeu outfit is prepared to take lower their asking price for the Colombian star due to lack of regular playing time and the current economic crisis that affected football at large.

Rodriguez was loaned to Bayern Munich last two seasons but he failed to impress at the Allianz Arena Stadium and he was sent back to his parent club, Real Madrid is prepared to offer him to Manchester United and the report in the Sun says the Spanish giants fear they may struggle to get even half of his valuation as his contract at the Bernabeu ticks down to its final 12 months.

The Red Devils directors have been a huge admirer of the 28-year-old attacker, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have limited fund to spend this summer and he is weighing up how best to spend the fund at his disposal this summer.
