Real Madrid is set to respond to their slow start of the season as they aim to buy more players in a bid to turn around their disappointing start to their campaign.

Los Blancos have reportedly made offers to Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek in the January transfer window as they aim to strengthen their squad.Real Madrid suffered a 3-0 defeat against PSG in their opening clash in the Champions League before playing a 2-2 draw against Club Brugge in their second match at the Santiago Bernabeu.According to Marca, Real Madrid is already planning a January transfer business and they are set to go all out for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and Eriksen and Ajax playmaker Van de Beek as the Santiago Bernabeu hierarchy aims to change Real Madrid engine room that comprises of Luka Modric, Casemiro and Toni Kroos.Eriksen is craving for a move to Real Madrid having turn down a move to Manchester United in the summer in a bid to pave way for the move to Bernabeu but manager Zinedine Zidane prevented the move from happening but he would be available for a cut-price in January.

Van de Beek was another summer transfer target but remains of interest to Madrid, though securing his signature in January could prove tricky after the 22-year-old revealed he doesn’t want to leave Ajax midway through the campaign.   ‘I don’t want to leave during the winter break. I play here all season, I finish at Ajax this year,’ Van de Beek told Dutch outlet VI.’That gives me clarity and tranquility. What happens after that, I see. Whether they know that in Madrid? everyone knows that.’ Madrid’s pursuit of Van de Beek and Eriksen is also likely to signal the departure of several fringe players, notably Brahim and Mariano Diaz, who have failed to feature since Zidane’s return to the club.
