Real Madrid ‘To Sack Julen Lopetegui On Tonight’ After Humiliating 5-1 Defeat By Barcelona In Sunday’s El Clasico

Spanish club, Real Madrid are reportedly set to sack Julen Lopetegui on Monday evening with former Chelsea coach Antonio Conte to take over.

According to Mail Online, Madrid directors will meet to decide his dismissal 24 hours after watching the side humiliating 5-1 defeat to Barcelona in Sunday’s El Clasico.

The defeat at the Nou Camp, has seen Real Madrid dropped to ninth position in the La Liga table.

If Real Madrid sacks Lopetegui tonight, it will be the second time this year he has been fired from his job. Back in June, he was sacked as Spain’s national team coach on the eve of the World Cup, after he agreed to take over at Real Madrid.
