Sergio Ramos is prepared to put an end to speculations linking him away from Santiago Bernabeu as he has agreed a two-year contract extension in principle with the Spanish Champ[ions.

The report in Cadena SER’s El Larguero revealed that the Spanish defender is in line to sign an extension with the La Liga team.

Real Madrid is prepared to announce the deal before the end of 2020 but could decide to wait until the Christmas break, per that same report.

The length of the contract was the main issue but it now seems that the two sides will come to an understanding even if there were some other rumours linking Ramos to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Los Blancos captain is 34 years old a two-year-extension will see him retire at the Santiago Bernabeu, this will even grant him the opportunity to play in the new Santiago Bernabeu something he considers quite important.

Ramos is doubtful for Real Madrid next clash against Villarreal in the La Liga after suffering from a knock in the Uefa Nations League against Germany on Tuesday in Spain 6-0 win over Die Mannschaft.
