Serie A club Brescia have terminated the football bad boy Mario Balotelli contractafter clashing with the owner Massimo Cellino.
The 29-year-old ex-Liverpool and Manchester City striker is onto his eighth club having struggled to settle at any of his former employers for more than a few seasons.
Balotelli has been involved in an acrimonious bust-up with club president Massimo Cellino as he has been deserting the Serie A team’s return to training since the lockdown restrictions were eased in Italy.
According to Football Italia reports that Brescia owner Massimo Cellino has already had enough of the star, who only joined the club last August with former Leeds chief is said to have written to the Premier League winner requesting for his contract with home town team to be terminated.
Balotelli still has over two years of his three-year deal left to run, but Cellino has been irked by the striker persistently missing training but the Italy international has also played for Inter Milan and AC Milan and made 36 appearances for Italy but, despite his undoubted talent, his career has been littered with disciplinary problems.
Balotelli signed for Brescia last August after his deal at Ligue 1 side Marseille ran out and scored five goals in 19 games for his boyhood club this season.
Serie A season will resume on June 20, with bottom club Brescia set to travel to Fiorentina on June 22 in their first game.
