Residents Stranded As Heavy Downpour Cuts Off Olodo Bridge In Ibadan, Oyo State 

Today, due to a heavy downpour in Ibadan, Oyo State, the bridge connecting Olodo Garage and Olodo Bank on Iwo Road experienced flooding. Buses and houses were submerged in the deluge, compelling certain residents to evacuate their homes. Consequently, some individuals found themselves completely stranded, unable to reach their houses.

As of the time of filling this report, some residents and individuals who ventured out earlier today remain stranded and unable to access their houses due to the ongoing flooding situation.

Residents are urgently calling on the Oyo State government, particularly Governor Seye Makinde, to intervene promptly and provide an immediate solution to the current flooding predicament. 

Meanwhile, it’s worth noting that before the flood incident, a section of the road was already under construction as part of the reconstruction efforts. However, the flooding has exacerbated the situation, leading to the current challenges faced by residents and commuters.
