Rihanna opens up about her father’s passing

Barbadian singer, Rihanna has opened up about the passing of her father, Ronald Fenty, who recently passed away.

Gistreel recalls that Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fent, passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 70, following a brief illness.

At the premiere of the upcoming ‘Smurfs‘ film in Los Angeles, Rihanna shared her hopes and dreams for her father as a grandfather to her sons, RZA and Riot, expressing how his adventurous spirit had inspired her parenting style.

“I’ve always wanted that and I’ve always dreamed of what type of grandfather he would be to them because of the favorite parts of my dad. I think it prepared me for having two boys”, she stated.

According to Rihanna, her adventurous and daredevil spirit is how she wants to raise her children, allowing them to experience life freely.

“The adventure side of me, the outside side of me, the daredevil. It’s how I want to raise them and I want them to be outside and be in nature” ,She noted.
