According to a report by The Punch, a co-founder and Executive Director, Sahara Group of Companies, Mr Tonye Cole, said on Wednesday that the Lagos State Ministry of Health had asked him to go into self-isolation.
Cole said in a tweet that he was on the British Airways Flight BA75 of March 13, 2020, through which the third case of coronavirus came into the country.
The PUNCH reported on Tuesday that the country had recorded another case of COVID-19 in Lagos State.
The affected person is a 30-year-old Nigerian lady, who returned from the United Kingdom on March 13, according to the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi.
“We have been asked by LSMOH to self-isolate. I’m grateful to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control for measures taken at airports to document all passengers coming into Nigeria, so we are all safer,” Cole said.
