Senior INEC Official, Mahadi Hassan Kidnapped In Jigawa State

Unknown gunmen have kidnapped an official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahadi Hassan in Jigawa State.  

The HOD, Voter Education and Publicity in the state, John Kaiwa, confirmed news of his kidnap saying Hassan was abducted on Gwiwa Road in the state.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Bala Zama, confirmed the arrest adding that the kidnappers have contacted the family. “Hassan’s abductors have demanded a ransom before he can regain his freedom,” the police commissioner said.
