South African Government has granted request for the Nigerian Airline, Air Peace to commence commercial flights to Johannesburg, South Africa.

This is in reciprocity of the bilateral air services agreement that Nigeria has with South Africa.

Nigeria’s ministry of Foreign Affairs says the request was granted during Nigeria/South Africa Bi-National Commission Summit in Pretoria, South Africa.

The operator of Air Peace Airlines, Allen Onyema has also confirmed that the airline will commence operations as soon as possible to promote air travel between Nigeria and South Africa.

Recently Air Peace Airlines evacuated Nigerians in South Africa free of charge due to xenophobic attacks in that country.
