SpaceX Rocket Launch Schedule: 29 Starlink satellites on Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral

SpaceX rocket launch schedule: SpaceX is getting ready for its 35th Starlink mission of the year, which will launch on a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Thursday morning.

The Starlink 10-33 mission will add 29 more Starlink V2 Mini satellites to the low Earth orbit megaconstellation, which currently numbers over 10,000 spacecraft.

The launch from Space Launch Complex 40 looks to be scheduled for 10:20 a.m. EDT (1420 UTC). After exiting the pad, the Falcon 9 rocket will follow a north-easterly trajectory.

Spaceflight Now will provide live coverage beginning roughly an hour before liftoff. The 45th Weather Squadron forecasted a mixed launch on Thursday morning.

Launch weather officers anticipate a 75 percent possibility of favourable circumstances at the window’s opening. By the end of the timeframe, that figure has dropped to 60% favourable.

“Although dry conditions will persist today, coastal showers may develop on Thursday, some of which could move near the launch pad during the primary launch window,” according to meteorologists.

“Mid-level clouds may also enter the region early Thursday, potentially interfering with the prime launch window. Given this, there is a minimal risk of Cumulus Cloud Rule and Thick Cloud Layers rule violations on Thursday morning.”

SpaceX will launch the mission with the Falcon 9 first-stage rocket bearing the tail number 1077. This will be its 27th flight, having previously launched missions such as NASA’s Crew-5, CRS-28, and NG-20.

Nearly 8.5 minutes after takeoff, B1077 will aim for a landing on the drone ship ‘Just Read the Instructions’ in the Atlantic Ocean.

If successful, this will be the 154th landing on this vessel and the 588th booster landing in total. The 29 Starlink satellites will be launched from the rocket’s upper stage a little more than an hour after liftoff.
