Speaker House of Representatives, Rt . Hon . Yakubu Dogara is conspicuously missing from the National Executive Committee ( NEC) of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), being the highest ranking member of the party in the legislature with the defection of Senate President, Bukola Saraki to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP).

This is as the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu made a surprise appearance even though he is constitutionally not a statutory member of this decision -making organ of the party .

LEADERSHIP had earlier reported that governors elected on the APC platform and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu were not on the same page as to the method to use .

The meeting commenced at 11: 20 AM after the President Muhammdu Buhari arrived.

NEC is currently in its closed door session .
