A lady has sparked discussion online after advising men who earn ₦100,000 or ₦200,000 monthly to avoid relationships if they are struggling financially.
In a viral video, the lady argued that men with limited income should prioritise their own welfare rather than sharing their already small salaries with women.
She questioned why a man earning ₦100,000 would willingly split his income while trying to meet the demands of a relationship.
The woman said, “As a man if you know you don’t have money or you’re struggling and your salary is 100k, stay away from woman.”
She further stated, “The small 100k that you have you’ll go and divide it into two. You’re doing 50/50. You no dey pity yourself? Which one you want use chop?”
According to her, men should consider their financial circumstances before entering relationships, especially when they are unable to comfortably support themselves.
She also warned that financial sacrifices made in relationships may not necessarily be appreciated by their partners.
The lady added, “Pity yourself because they will not that 50k you’re giving them. They go still ask you what did you do for me?”
Her comments have generated discussion around dating, financial responsibility and the pressure some young Nigerians face while trying to maintain relationships on modest incomes.
She concluded by urging men earning small salaries to remain single until they are financially stable, saying, “Stay away from woman. Small 200k you get you go dey share am.”
The debate has continued to centre on whether people should prioritise financial stability before relationships or whether couples can build together despite limited income.
