Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Gbekile David Osemeke popularly known as Boy Spyce has taken a swipe at his colleagues who pay influencers to hype their music.
In a video online, the ‘Folake’ crooner was captured in an interview session with Cool FM expressing how pissed he is with artiste who go extra miles to pay social media influencers to promote their music.
The singer further revealed how the act makes you look unreal, and how genuity should be prioritized in the industry.
He also noted that the industry is too large, and artists cannot gain validity and will not stand the test of time engaging in such acts.
Bragging about himself in regards to the topic in contention, Boy Spyce said – “I’m confident in myself, I can’t do that”.
Speaking to the host, Spyce said he’s fully aware that his opinion might bruise many shoulders but he doesn’t care as he emphasized “artistes need to stop paying people to tell the world you’re dope, show the world you’re dope”.
