Teyana Taylor seemingly confirms romance with Aaron Pierre after Iman Shumpert divorce

Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre appear to have confirmed their relationship on Instagram following the 2025 Oscars.

The “Gonna Love Me” singer and the “Mufasa: The Lion King” actor shared a series of black-and-white photos from the event, with Taylor captioning the post, “Oscar night in black & white, no grey area.”

In the pictures, the pair face each other before posing back-to-back for the final shot. Taylor, 34, wore a black gown with a large cutout in the back, a plunging neckline, and a slit, pairing the look with metallic heels. Pierre, 30, opted for a classic black tuxedo by LOEWE, accessorizing with a white bowtie and gold-framed glasses.

Although they walked the Oscars red carpet separately, they were later photographed together inside the event alongside Niecy Nash and her wife, Jessica Betts.

Taylor’s post drew reactions from several celebrities. Kim Kardashian commented with a black heart emoji, while Taraji P. Henson wrote, “YES MA’AM!!!!!!!!!!!! .” Lori Harvey added, “Niceeeeee ,” and Yvonne Orji echoed, “Okayyyyy nooowww ” Jodie Turner-Smith chimed in, “IT’S RIGHT HERE IN BLACK & WHITE HONEYYYYYYY .”

The pair were last seen together at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala on February 1, with Pierre later sharing photos from the event on Instagram. Taylor was previously linked to Leonardo DiCaprio in October 2024 after they were spotted dancing closely at a New York City club. Before Pierre, she was married to former NBA player Iman Shumpert from 2016 until their split in 2023.

“Iman and I are separated and have been for a while,” Taylor wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post confirming the divorce. “To be 1000% clear, ‘infidelity’ ain’t one of the reasons for our departure. We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children.”

Taylor and Shumpert share two daughters, Junie, 9, and Rue, 4.
