LASU VC, Prof Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello
Nigerian Twitter users are reacting to the Lagos State University (LASU) opening a bakery for bread production so that it can increase its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
Via its official Twitter handle, LASU hailed its Vice Chancellor, Prof Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello for the initiative and said LASU bread will henceforth be the only bread on campus.
Reacting, Nigerians questioned the institution for chasing out other bread competitors in the institution to have a monopoly.
Others pointed out that universities abroad are doing bigger things to increase their IGR.
