We certainly cannot wait for the most anticipated music festival in Nigeria,  The Gidi Culture Festival 2016, which will be hitting Lagos, Nigeria once again on Saturday, March 26th, 2016, at the Eko Atlantic City grounds. 

As usual when it comes to fun events like this, what to wear is usually one of the major things people look out for. And for this year we have put together a list of trends that we expect to see both performers and attendees rock.

Here it goes!

Denim Shorts

This is one of the trends that can never go out of fashion. Since it’s always summer down here, it is certainly a good idea to let the legs out and enjoy the sun.

Crop Tops

Crop tops are so trendy for the beach, so whether you are going for short shorts, pants or skirts you can pair any look with a fringe, lace or cotton crops. But our favorite is the fringe and we have a strong feeling that this will be one of the trends this year.

Sandals/Flip Flops

The sand always in gets the way of your sneakers and flat shoes, so what better way to pay no attention to it than by wearing sandals or flip flops. This makes you walk with no fear of getting sand in your shoes.

Fedora/Straw Hats

This is literally one of the most essential  for a day out at the beach. A straw or fedora will go a long way in protecting your face from the scotching sun and we expect to see a lot of this at the festival.

Playsuits 

When you hear beach party, you think comfortable but yet stylish clothes. Playsuits offers this and we expect a couple of  stylish festival attendees in them.

Sunglasses

What’s a beach day out without a pair of stylish and dapper looking sunglasses. A definite must see at the festival.

Body Chains

The body chain is a gorgeous accessory and most especially gives your whole outfit a completely stylish feel. With a lot of people probably opting for the crop tops, we expect to see this a lot.

Bralets/Bikini Tops

Since you are off to a beach which consists of water, you have to have it at the back of your mind that there will be water fights and more. So it’s a no brainier to turn up wearing a bra-let or bikini top.

Maxi Dresses

This is like the most comfortable clothing to wear to the beach. It’s airy and light so you won’t be caught sweating in a corner. Hence we think a lot of people will be dressed in them at the biggest cultural festival in Lagos.

Kimonos

This is one of the easiest clothing to pair with your look. Whether to cover up your  bralet or your playsuit, it’s simple, stylish and perfect trend for the weather.

Sling Bags

This piece of accessory is best for the beach, it’s a shoulder companion and doesn’t get in the way of outfit. You can throw in a few wanted items like your sunglasses, water, face towel and more. They are comfortable and most seen trends at festivals.

Flowered Head Pieces

Flower head pieces have been quite a trend at beach festivals. It’s pretty and stylish, definitely one of the trends that would take over the event.

Loose Beach Pants

How can we forget to add this! One of the most comfortable trends that would be seen on that day. It loose, non clingy and super stylish. These pants can be worn with crop tops, vests, or chiffon tops.
