Truck crushes five children from same family to death in Bayelsa

Five children of the same family reportedly d!ed after a tricycle they were traveling in was crushed by a tanker truck along Ibelebiri Community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The accident occurred at about 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

The children identified as Isaiah David, God’s Time David, Favour David, Salvation David, and Testimony David died at the scene. 

Their bodies were evacuated and deposited at St. Pat Mortuary in Otuasega Community for autopsy.

Police have commenced an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
