Two Beninese well diggers die while digging well in Ogun

The bodies of two well diggers, who were from the Republic of Benin, have been recovered after they got stuck while digging a well and died in the Laderin area of Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

 Avade Clement and Achefon Edua were hired by one Akinsaya Ganiyu to work on his well located on his site, but the victims allegedly got stuck while doing the job on Monday, April 29.

Ganiyu reported the incident to the Divisional Police Officer in the area.

The DPO mobilised his men to the scene of the incident and recovered the victims. Sadly, they were declared dead at a hospital in Ijaiye.

The bodies of the well diggers have been taken to their hometown under strict monitoring by the police.
