Watch how woman miraculously escapes as water tank falls directly on her outside her house (video)

This is the heart-stopping moment a water tank fell on a woman who had just given donations at a temple in India, but she had a lucky escape.  

The video shows the woman crossing a narrow lane while eating a piece of fruit when the large tank suddenly collapses towards her from above.   

However, instead of crushing her, the container landed perfectly on top of the woman and she emerged unscathed.  

CCTV shows how her head even poked out from a hole at the top of the plastic drum. 

Locals said the bizarre incident happened at Mansi Residency in Dindoli, Surat, India, after morning prayers on October 5.  

The woman was returning home from offering donations, or prasadam, to the local deities. 

Residents now believe that divine intervention prevented her from being hurt as she had just done a good deed at the Hindu temple. 

 

Neighbours rushed outside after hearing a loud bang and were shocked to find the woman standing inside the upright container. 

Miraculously, it had landed perfectly on top of her, with the sides missing her body. She was unscathed following the near miss. 

 

Security guard S.M. Mishra said the tank, which had been discarded by a scrap collector clearing out old items from the terrace, was accidentally dropped.
