Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has indicated his worry at the form of the home based Super Eagles in the ongoing African Cup of Natiopns for home based players (CHAN). Sunday Oliseh’s team will take on Guinea tomorrow in their last Group C match of the CAF Africa Nations Championship in Rwanda but says he and the technical crew are wary of injuries as the players are feeling the effects of playing on a synthetic turf.
Super Eagles as well as Guinea will qualify to the quarter finals with a win in tomorrow’s game. The Super Eagles need at least a draw to move to the next round. A win will see them, topping the group.
“We have what it takes to get all the three points in Tuesday’s game against Guinea. But then again, it depends on the form of the day. We are far from where we are hoping to get to. That’s why the two players (Muhammed Usman and Chisom Chikatara) trained separately. You know that we played on a synthetic pitch, so they are feeling some pains in the groin. You saw in the game against Tunisia where we took Usman out due to the pains he felt in his groin. Chikatara is also feeling it. But the doctor said they should be okay. Hopefully, they will be fit for Tuesday,” Oliseh said.
