Google has released top searches for the year 2022.

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi, Iphone 14, Nigerian musicians such as Oxlade and Asake were the top contenders.

Under searches category, Afcon top the list, while ASUU strike trailed behind.

Oxlade tops the list for people category, while Will Smith top the list for actors category.

ASUU made the list due to the Academic Staff Union of Universities strike that lingered for eight months.

While talented artiste Oxlade made the list due to the leaked sex tape that trended in  February early this year.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate made the list due to the Obidient movement both online and offline.

Yul Edochie made the list due to his announcement of his second wife Judy Austin and their son in April.
