West Bromwich Albion manager, Steve Bruce says Nigeria defender, Semi Ajayi has developed into a better player since he took charge of the Baggies.
Ajayi has enjoyed regular playing time at the Hawthorns since Bruce took over the hot seat in February this year.
The 28- year-old was West Brom’s top performer in last Saturday’s 1-0 home win against Middlesbrough.
The Tall defender played in central defence alongside Dara O’Shea.
Bruce stated that he has noticed a big step up from the 6ft 4inch Nigeria international.
“Ajayi I have to say, he’s improved enormously since I’ve walked through the door,” Bruce was quoted by Express and Star.
“I’ve enjoyed watching him, he’s a hell of a good defender. When he’s like he was on Saturday he’s big, strong, powerful, quick, he gave a mountain of performance, especially in the second half.”
Ajayi has made more than 100 starts in Albion colours.
