Now that professional football in Spain has been suspended, fans want to know what is going to happen with their season ticket.
One-off ticket purchases will be getting refunded for all cancelled events, but what about those who paid for the whole season?
Clubs are not required to reimburse any season ticket holders for any matches they miss at the moment.
There are lots of concerns about the financial implications of coronavirus hitting Spanish football, with LaLiga estimating a 700 million euro loss if the campaign stops now.
Over the next few days, a worldwide position will be taken with regards to how clubs deal with unfulfilled season tickets.
What about the players? Will they be paid for not playing games?
The truth is that they’re in a different situation. Players have contracts with clubs that aren’t paid per game, while season tickets are often bought for a certain number of games a season
There is no easy solution to all this and LaLiga will decide on the next steps to take in the following days.
