A Nigerian lady has sparked online discussion after sharing an uncomfortable experience with a neighbourhood water seller, raising fresh conversations about entitlement, jealousy, and customer choice in local communities.
The lady narrated how a simple decision to buy sachet water from another shop turned into a heated confrontation, which she described as unnecessary and upsetting.
According to her post on X, the incident happened when she crossed the street to buy water and was stopped by a woman who owns a nearby shop.
The shop owner questioned her choice and accused her of avoiding a “sister” to patronise another Yoruba woman instead.
The lady said she became angry and warned the woman never to call her again over such issues, noting that it was the third time it happened.
She explained that she sometimes buys from the shop but avoids it because the items are often dirty and expensive.
She added that she prefers the neighbouring shop because the sellers are friendly, clean, and never pressure customers about where to buy.
In her post, she compared the woman’s behaviour to someone standing guard like an investigator, watching customers closely.
She ended her narration with a harsh remark, blaming jealousy and bitterness for the woman’s actions.
