It has been revealed why Gareth Bale move to Jiangsu Suning was canceled by Real Madrid president despite fully aware that the Welsh forward is not in Zinedine Zidane’s plan this season.The move to Jiangsu Suning was cancelled as a result of the Chinese club does not want to pay a transfer fee to Real Madrid, in essence, the Chinese club want Bale on a free transfer and Real Madrid is not ready to let him leave for free, considering the world-record fee they paid Tottenham in 2013.

For Jiangsu Suning, this is a problem because the Chinese government requires its clubs to pay a tax equal to the amount of any transfer fee above a certain level. It is clear to all parties that the Welsh attacker is not in Zidane’s plan and due to his high salary an exit would be in everyone’s best interest, but Real Madrid is reluctant to let him leave on the free or cheap.Bale will remain with Real Madrid for now until the right offer comes for the wantaway star.
