Popular gospel singer, Ebuka Songs, has finally broken his silence on the reason for his departure from Moses Bliss’ record label, Spotlite Nation.
Ebuka Songs, who initially signed a three-year contract with the label, left after just 11 months.
In December 2024, Moses Bliss addressed the situation, stating that Ebuka had chosen to pursue his music independently.
Now, sharing his side of the story, Ebuka revealed in an interview on the Open Up podcast that his decision was driven by a desire to focus on his ministry.
“I will always be grateful for Moses Bliss’ role in my life because, at that time, I had the anointing and gift, but I didn’t know how to go about it professionally.
“I am grateful for the journey that I have been through, but at this point, the next level is to focus on my ministry. And we are in a good space.”
Ebuka Songs also explained why he chose to remain silent about his exit, emphasizing that he wanted to avoid unnecessary speculation.
“The reason why I kept quiet about my exit or didn’t say anything since that time is because I didn’t want it to generate more conversations. We all get to the point where we just want to focus on the next phase of our lives, and for me, that is the assignment of God upon my life,” he added.
Despite parting ways with the label, Ebuka reassured fans that there is no bad blood between him and his former team, emphasizing that he is in a good place as he moves forward in his ministry.
