Widowed Nigerian man seeks a “God-fearing sister” weeks before the burial of his wife

A Nigerian man, Ubong Uwak, is searching for a new spouse few weeks before the burial of his late wife.

The deceased wife, Glory Ubong Uwak will be laid to rest on August 1, 2025 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Uwak took to a Facebook group, ‘God Fearing Singles’ on July 9, 2025 to seek a ‘god fearing sister.

“Good morning God-fearing faithfuls. I’m Ubong Uwak from Nigeria, 41yrs. Widower, no kids yet hoping to have someday. Let’s praise God together. Feel free to message. New here. I need a God-fearing sister,” he wrote.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, July 20, he shared the obituary of his wife, declaring his eternal love for her.

“Princess I can’t still place my hands on what happened. But God will avenge your d3ath. God be with you till we meet again. I will love you till eternity. Rest on,” he wrote.

A further check on Facebook indicates that the couple got married in 2020.

Reacting to the post, a Facebook user, Sandra Okereke wrote: “Dear Young Woman. Please, don’t go and die for nothing o. Dear Glory is yet to be buried but just imagine what the husband of her youth is doing on Facebook! Glory’s death is still questionable o. It is well. Just imagine what Men are doing,”
