Christian Eriksen admits he was frustrated not being able to celebrate the Scudetto with Inter Milan’s fans.

The Dane was key to this season’s title triump.

“You play, obviously, to win for your club, but you also play to entertain the fans. At least I missed the fans very much. I can only say that celebrating a championship without fans is also boring,” said Eriksen.

When discussing his time at Inter as a whole, the attacking midfielder eluded to the fact that he was very much out of favour to begin with, and was very close to leaving the club.

“It’s been a great ride on a roller coaster, up and down. You’re hungry to have to win even more, whether it’s with Denmark or Inter. The winner wants more.”
