Wizkid Greets Governor Sanwo-Olu After Performance (Video, Photos)

Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, created a buzz at the Greater Lagos Countdown when he stepped down from the stage after his performance to greet Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Fans erupted in excitement, with one shouting, “Come to your governor, bro!” as Wizkid made his way toward the governor.

The Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos was the epicenter of energy and celebration on Wednesday night, as some of Nigeria’s biggest music stars lit up the stage to welcome the New Year, 2025. The star-studded event featured unforgettable performances from the likes of Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tiwa Savage, leaving the crowd enthralled.

Organized by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, the Greater Lagos Countdown brought thousands of music lovers together for a night of unity, entertainment, and high spirits.

The lineup of performers included top talents such as Niniola, Olamide, Adewale Ayuba, Runtown, BNXN, 9ice, Seyi Vibez, and many more, ensuring an electrifying start to the year.
