A Nigerian woman has called out fitness brand I-Fitness, labeling it a scam after being asked to pay ₦59,000 to access a 30-day free gym plan she claimed to have won.
She shared her experience in a video on TikTok, explaining that she had participated in a promotional event held before the opening of a new I-Fitness branch in Auchi.
According to her, she played a game during the event and won what was announced as a 30-day complimentary gym package.
However, upon visiting the gym to activate her package, she was told she had to pay ₦59,000 in total—₦20,000 for membership activation and ₦38,000 for a standard monthly fee without a personal trainer.
“Tell me why I’m paying ₦59,000 for something that’s supposed to be free?” she asked in frustration, describing the situation as deceptive and unfair.
The video has since sparked mixed reactions online as many users expressed their disappointment and skepticism over the gym’s promotional strategies.
